Where I’ve Been and Where I’m Going

Hello all, long time no post. Sorry about that.

But, never fear! I can explain…

I haven’t posted since December and missed out on a lot of things I wanted to write: year-end reflections, Anime NYC review, some anime/video game discussions, etc. But December was a bit crazy. I got sick and couldn’t do certain things for a while. I had to stay off my feet for a long period of time, which you'd think would give me plenty of time to write, but I just felt so crappy I couldn’t do anything.

But that’s a conversation for another post.

Besides that, my other blog-neglecting excuses are positive! I moved to a much bigger and better apartment. My college roommate and I (guess I'm not riding solo anymore) now live together in a beautiful, two-floor apartment that doesn’t smell like pot or have neighbors blasting hip hop beats at 3am. Bonus points, it’s cheaper than my last place. And people say miracles don’t happen!

I also started interviewing for more engaging and professionally developmental jobs… and got one! This Wednesday is my last day at work. My first day at the new gig is the day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I’m excited but also nervous. I became comfortable at my current job and sometimes question why I am leaving something so easy for a job that may be more demanding and challenging. But complacency is the enemy of man! I must fight on!

Unfortunately, I expect my hiatus to go on a little longer. I need to take time to get used to my new responsibilities. I did most of my blog writing at work because I was so bored. Now, I don’t know if I’ll have that much free time at my new place. But I do have plenty things to write about! Have you seen Dororo? The OP is fire. Kingdom Hearts III comes out in 3 weeks! I can hardly contain myself! I'm going on a social media hiatus at the end of the month to avoid spoilers. And the Crunchyroll Anime Awards are coming! I need to tell you all about my picks! There’s so much media to consume and I have so much to say! But unfortunately, real life has to come first. I will post here and there for a bit but I don’t know if I’ll be able to post as frequently as I used to…at least for another month.

So I guess I'll see you in February/March. Forgive me?
